Inside it, you can find one of the oldest mills of Greece. It is famed for its traditional “Xirotigana”, fried dough and laced with honey and walnuts. Certainly worth a try! Even though located in the wild mountains of Crete, the villa is still only 8 km away (roughly 15min) from the nearest beach, (Nopigia Beach). The famous beaches of Falaserna and Balos Beach are both 15 km away. The beautiful Elafonisi island is 40 km away (and a small boat ride). The nearest bigger town with a supermarket, pharmacy, gas station and health centre, is only 8 km away.
