Il Molino - studio apartment with independent kitchen and private garden

The accommodation consists of a single room of about 20 square meters on the upper floor of a former mule shed; it consists of a kitchen with bedroom and bathroom. The furnishings are simple and well-kept in typical Tuscan style. The kitchen consists of a wood stove and 4-burner gas stove, electric oven, coffee maker, necessary utensils and dishes. The bedroom has a French double bed in wrought iron; the bathroom consists of a large shower, toilet, sink and hairdryer. Heating is present throughout and can be with a wood stove or LPG, flat-screen TV. Laundry room available for a fee (detergents included in the price).

External balcony with panoramic view of the castle of Poppi, the surrounding hills and the Franciscan sanctuary of "La Verna". Small private courtyard with pergola and barbecue, parking space and bike shed available.

Il Molino is not suitable for disabled people. The road that runs alongside the former garage where the accommodation is located is quiet and not very busy as it is used only by people who live in Filetto, tourists, families who ride bicycles or on horseback. Il Molino is an accommodation with independent access and appurtenances for the exclusive use of guests.

Il Molino is part of the Podere Casina Rossa and is located along the ancient Lorenze route of customs and pilgrimage routes between Florence and Arezzo, among crops and woods, crossing well-preserved medieval villages. Casentino is known for its castles, sanctuaries, monasteries and medieval villages rich in culture and art; it was the home of Dante Alighieri's exile and many of these places are mentioned in the Divine Comedy; it is also a place of prayer and meditation, in fact, St. Francis retreated there and received the stigmata at "Verna". The area is surrounded by the Casentinesi Forest Park, a reserve of wild plants and animals. The valley also offers various opportunities for recreation with cycling and trekking routes, golf-tennis-soccer-swimming pool.

Throughout the year, in the various towns of Casentino, festivals, events and celebrations are organized that recall ancient crafts typical of the place.

The main towns are served by local railway; other smaller and mountain towns are served by public or private buses. The nearby cities of Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Forlì can be reached by train or bus. There are also car rental or rental services.

The town of Poppi is only 2 km from the Podere and there are various supermarkets, shops and restaurants.
