Welcome to the warmest and sunniest place on Madeira! "Blue Sea" is located in a quiet cul-de-sac, right by the sea. From the two private balconies you can enjoy the panoramic view of the mountain landscape, banana plantation and the sea. The modern, elegant apartment building with 6 units is located on the site of a former fish factory, whose past is only remembered by a chimney, which is a listed building.
The two balconies are furnished with sun loungers and tables & chairs. A large barbecue area is located in the entrance area of the apartment building.
The living area is separated from the open-plan kitchen area with cooker, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine and fridge-freezer by a stylish marble counter with bar stools. You walk across a pleasantly cool floor of Mediterranean, sand-coloured tiles. A comfortable sofa area invites you to read and relax. Ceiling-high sliding doors in the living area and bedroom create a spacious, individual ambience from the two balconies. The comfortable furnishings in the two spacious bedrooms include built-in wardrobes and 2 double beds (twin beds, which can also be made up as single beds if required). There is also a luxurious bathroom with shower and full bath, bidet and a separate guest WC with washbasin. The flat has WLAN/TV.
In this authentic fishing village, hardly touched by tourism, there are several restaurants, bars, a bakery and a well-stocked mini market on site, all within a short walking distance. Fresh fish can be bought directly from the fishermen at the harbour. A fruit and vegetable trolley also runs regularly through the village. 500 metres away, to the west of Paul do Mar, the local surfer scene meets in the two hip bars "Maktub" and "One Love". A supermarket with a large selection of meat and fish can be reached in 5 minutes by car.
A 10-minute drive takes you to the family-friendly Calheta Beach, ideal for swimmers and non-swimmers of all ages. But there are also 2 bathing spots in Paul do Mar: a pebble beach directly at the village square and a bathing jetty at the end of the promenade, from which you can easily get into the sea. Paul do Mar is also the starting point for popular hikes to Prazeres and Faja da Ovelha.
