Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism. Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats. The model offers a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building. The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society.
Car park: The car park is right next to the house and is not covered. Access to the house is guaranteed.
Public transport: The village of Heiligkreuz is well served by public transport (Postbus line Entlebuch-Hasle-Heiligkreuz, line 233, with 8 connections daily.Number of persons 4: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available. The house can accommodate four guests (plus baby). There are two double rooms available. From the large kitchen-living room you have a beautiful view of the surrounding meadows and woods. The bathroom with shower and toilet offers modern comfort. The floors are made of wood, which is why we recommend good slippers. The house was built in 1845 and therefore it can happen that the floors creak and that you can hear the neighbours on the floor below from time to time.
Garden: There is a garden seating area at your disposal.
WLAN: Is available.
Heating: Central heating with pellets
Open: The house can be rented all year round and for short holidays (at least 3 nights).
Pets: Pets are allowed.
Altitude: 1127 metres above sea level.
IMPORTANT ADDITION:
The old tenant's house is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing substance. The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care. Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger. The tenant is aware of these circumstances. The owner, e-domizil and the Vacation in architectural monument foundation disclaim any liability.
