The renovation created 12 residential units, some of which are used privately or as holiday flats. The property is located in the centre of a bird sanctuary. Surrounded by fields and gardens with old trees in the district of Dornum Nesse, close to the East Frisian North Sea coast in the dyke hinterland.

The beaches in Nessmersiel, Dornumersiel, Norddeich or Bensersiel with sandy beaches, beach chair hire and play facilities for children are easily accessible by bike or car. In the nearby holiday resort in Nessmersiel (approx. 4 km) there are various restaurants, a bakery, a small supermarket, fish snack bar and more. Further shopping facilities such as discounters, supermarkets, drinks markets, pharmacies and butchers can be found in Dornum or Hage.

In addition to the rental price and the cleaning costs, there is the usual local guest contribution, which depends on the travel period and age of the travellers.
