Semesterlägenhet - 5 personer - Carr. de Almeria - 18740 - Castell De Ferro

We had a very nice stay at the apartment but the check in experience, although it went well in the end, the availability of the person in charge was not the best. I wonder what would have happened if our flight had arrived late in the evening. I got also a bit confused with the fact that we had to pay in cash EUR 180 (how much per hour) for the cleaning and maintenance services as there were some things to repair in the apartment in my opinion (the blind cord, the tab le lamp was broken the below parts of the shower dirty as well as the dust on the furniture).

It´s a really lovely little apartment with a beautiful sea view, very close to the quieter side of Castell de Ferro - but closest enough to bars and restaurants to be able to walk there in 5 - 10 minutes.Unfortunately our experience with the comapny who are managing the property was not so good. First even though I called them when I was 30 minutes away we still had to wait 10 - 15 minutes for somebody to arrive with the keys. Also after I had messaged them to tell them I was 30 minutes away, they messaged me back to ask if i could pay the 180€ cleaning charge in cash. I couldn´t so they said I could bizum and then informed me it would be plus tax 217,80€ in total! One we entered the apartment it was lovely and very clean, they showed us around, I asked about the terrace and they pulled the blind up and it was a diasater - the water for the partement aboves air conditioning unit had fallen onto the terrace - if thay had looked at this before we arrived thay could have sorted it. The young man attempted to clean it up (badly) and contacted the owner to inform them. After he left my husband and I tidied up the terrace, worked out what was happening and used bucket to catch the water. Also they had not put any of the outiside furniture outside or made the bed?!!! I need to be clear this is not the owners fault - she came around the morning after to check what the problem was and was very helpful I believe it is the company who is managing the property´s responsibility. It was a real shame as it meant we started our very short 3 day vacation in a bit of a bad mood. After this initial experience though, we had a lovely stay.
