In Sdr. Stenderup outside Kolding is the manor house Lykkesgård, which dates back to 1856, where the owner has converted one end of the main building into a holiday home. The owner lives at the other end of the building with his own entrance. Lykkesgård is located in a scenic area with a long way to the next neighbor - the plot has a marked area with a small lake for you guests, where you can sit and eat or play ball. Through paths there is a good walk of half an hour to Skibelund Strand, if you want a trip to the beach.

The 2-storey house has on the ground floor a modern kitchen, 3 living rooms, a bathroom and a "master bedroom" with its own bathroom en suite. On the 1st floor you will find the house's 2 other rooms - the former chambers for the farm's servants - one called "The Blue Maiden's Chamber" and the other "The Green Maiden's Chamber". We would like to point out that the stairs to the 1st floor are very steep and have narrow steps.
All rooms appear modern, but still with a touch of the noble residence that the house used to be. During your stay, you also have access to a laundry room with a washing machine in the basement.

The area:
From the house there is a short walk of about 30 minutes to the beach at Skibelund. The nearest town is Kolding, which is known for its many exciting shops, street environments and small, cozy restaurants. Kolding's landmark Koldinghus and the art museum Trapholt attract many tourists to the city every year. Kolding is surrounded by beautiful, hilly nature that provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Visit the challenging climbing courses in Hylkedalen's Funky Monkey Park or take the children to 'Legeparken'. A large-format playground near the city with slides, moon cars, pedal boats and much more. Kolding has several trail systems where you can enjoy nature on foot or by bike. Go on a relaxing fishing trip on the fjord, by the river or one of the many put & take lakes. And if you love golf, Kolding has 2 golf courses. The nearby beaches offer fresh sea water with good swimming conditions and if the weather fails, the whole family can have lots of water fun in the large water park "SlotssøBadet", which is located centrally in the city. Kolding offers a unique opportunity to experience the world under water. Two of the region's biggest attractions, LEGOLAND® and LEGO®House, are within an hour's drive from Sdr. Stenderup.
